Hey!
So in July we asked you to wear your best vintage outfit and win a prize! Seemed easy enough, look for great outfits, hand out Garagebucks or season passes.
About 9:40am a storm came through Uptown causing torrential downpour and for the first time in Garage history (thanks to Chicago's drainage system) we had water backing up in about 6 different places.
For a little perspective, here's our storage area that a van fits into--
Needless to say, this threw the morning off completely. My focus turned quickly to making sure this was going down and wasn't going to happen again. Then they came to film the TV pilot in the middle of that and I missed some completely amazing vintage outfits, like the ones below!
