Chicago’s favorite vintage market will hold the last event for the season October 21st in the Uptown Parking Garage that’s been the center of a Summer of Vintage in the city. Promoters say the season will close on a strong note with record numbers of vendors, visitors and culinary offerings.
“In terms of visitors, the September event was our strongest to date,” says Melissa Sands of Vintage Promotions. LLC, the event’s promoter and producer. “With more vendors than ever lined up, we expect the October show to surpass that.”
In September a Food Truck Food Court was added to the event attracting additional visitors who came for the pastries, desserts, sandwiches and other edible enjoyments. Additional food vendors will be present at the October 21st edition of the show.
While the season change may bring an end to vintage markets in the garage, plans are in place to keep the momentum going through the winter. The Vintage Garage will move indoors November 17-18 for a two-day Holiday Trunk Show.
