Father's Day in Chicago!
Need an idea on how to spend Father's Day in Chicago with your dad? Bring him to The Vintage Garage on June 17th! There's no better spot for him to replace the records Grandma sold at her yard sale, or to find that special album of his you destroyed at a party in 1986.
In its 7th season, Chicago's only all vintage market draws retro lovers from all over Chicago and beyond. With 100 vendors specializing in all things vintage, it won't be your typical Father's Day BBQ. Besides the usual great merchandise seen across the spectrum of vintage each month, our dealers will bring on the vinyl, stereo and musical gear that they've been hoarding all winter for this show.
Show Dad Uptown Chicago
After the show, North Broadway in Uptown is chock full of cool things to do with Dad.
Take Dad for a drink at the Green Mill Cocktail Lounge and check out a piece of Chicago history. The Green Mill was, and still is, a legendary jazz club from the Al Capone era. It is known as the city's oldest nightclub and you can sit in Capone's favorite booth with clear views of the front and back entrances. They are located just north of Shake Rattle and Read on North Broadway. Fat Cat is a great place to eat, affordable and delicious! On Saturday and Sunday between 10am and 11am, Brunch is 1/2 off.
If Dad likes Chicago architecture, there are some great spots in Uptown. Check out the facade of the Uptown Theatre at 4703 N. Broadway, or the amazing Uptown Broadway Building at 4707 N. Broadway. Get more information about Uptown and its landmarks.
The Uptown area also has a great selection of eateries. Argyle Street headlines the pack with the biggest concentration of southeast Asian restaurants in Chicago. Check out Yelp's Guide to Argyle restaurants.
