EDGEWATER–Broadway Street in Edgewater will be the place to shop locally for holiday vintage in Chicago this weekend. That’s thanks to the return of the Vintage Garage Holiday Trunk Show and two holiday events at nearby antique malls.
The popular Vintage Garage (1134 W Granville) will again be indoors for the Vintage Garage Holiday Trunk Show December 8-9 at a storefront at N Broadway and W Granville. Located just a few blocks from the summer market location, the two-day Vintage Garage Holiday Trunk Show will provide enough clothing, jewelry, furniture, advertising memorabilia, games, appliances, glassware and electronics to get you through the winter.
From there whoppers can stop in to the Broadway Antique Market (6130 N. Broadway) for a holiday party and sale and the Edgewater Antique Mall (6314 North Broadway) for the annual holiday antique sale.
“Here are three great opportunities in close proximity that make it easy to go the extra mile to provide unique holiday gifts,” says Melissa Sands of Vintage Promotions, LLC, producer of the Vintage Garage Holiday Trunk Show. “Plus you’ll know your purchases are helping local people and the local economy.”
Promoters also point out that shopping local, repurposing, buying locally made goods and buying re-marketed goods are all green activities.
The Vintage Garage Holiday Trunk Show will be held December 8-9 from 11 a.m. until 6 p.m. in a storefront at Granville and Broadway. More information is available at www.vintagegaragechicago.com.
