CHICAGO–The Summer of Vintage just got better. For the two remaining editions of Vintage Garage Chicago, the city’s favorite place for vintage finds, food trucks will come together to create the Food Truck Court Cafe.
Six food trucks will be on hand September 16 providing delicacies including pastries, pancakes, frozen treats, Italian favorites and tamales. The trucks will be placed in an adjacent lot and surround cafe tables.
“We’ve discovered that not only do most foodies love vintage, but the expanded palette options enhance the experience of being at the garage,” says Melissa Sands of Vintage Promotions, LLC. “I can taste it already.”
The food trucks compliment a wide array of options already available in the area, including Vietnamese Pho soup, sandwiches made with French bread and Vietnamese coffee. Sands estimates that in this Summer of Vintage hundreds have tried those delicacies for the first time.
Entry into the Food Truck Court Cafe is included with the $3 gate fee to the Vintage Garage. Food trucks include Bridgeport Pasty, Babycakes Pancakes, Ice3, Get Curried Away, Chitown Tamale and Two Italians.
